Icelandic Craft Beer & Tapas Tasting
During the experience you will taste at least six different beers and ales, each paired with traditional Icelandic cuisine, served “Tapas” style. You will taste the freshest fish caught from the pier outside the restaurant. Also on the menu is the Icelandic lamb which no one should miss out on. Icelandic sheep are bred wild and free in the mountains and amongst the glaciers, making the meat tender and unusually tasty.
Your host will introduce each pairing in context of Icelandic history and culture. You‘ll hear stories about the survival of Vikings on this rugged land and unpredictable seas, as well as folk tales born out of the winter darkness and isolation. However, this event is informal and your host will happily discuss anything under the arctic sun, take questions and give you tips on traveling in Iceland.
Cheers To Iceland is the ideal introduction to Reykjavík´s creative, yet traditional food and beer culture.
Minimum age: The age limit for alcohol consumption in Iceland is 20 years. Therefore this tour is not considered ideal for children and teenagers.
