Always dreamed of hiking on a glacier? Well, this is your chance!
Less than two hours drive from Reykjavik is Eyjafjallajokull glacier, and just a little further is the Solheimajokull glacier tongue, which extends down from its mother glacier, Myrdalsjokull, right on top of Katla Volcano.
After putting on the necessary crampons and learning how to use the basic ice equipment, you will take a rather easy walk on the glacier. Discover incredible ice formations, ridges and crevasses. Ice climbing is not included in this tour.
On the way back the group will stop at the picturesque waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss.
