Caving & Snorkeling Tour

Combine Caving and Snorkeling in one day!

We head to Thingvellir National Park and start with snorkeling in the Silfra fissure. Silfra is one of Iceland's best-kept secrets, a submerged crack between two continental plates that drift apart 2 cm per year. It's otherworldly underwater scenery in countless shades of blue. The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current.

For the second adventure of the day, we explore the hidden marvels of a lava cave. The Gjabakkahellir cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube and is situated in one of the most active volcano areas in the world.

The best part? No previous experience is required to take part in this tour, but you must be able to swim!

Important

During winter season from 16.Sept to 14.May (depending on weather and snow conditions) the tour starts with the caving followed by the snorkeling. Caving will then be in Leidarendi cave instead of Gjabakkahellir.
